Give us a call and book a pre-class physiotherapy assessment. We will then guide you to the most suitable physio-led reformer Pilates program: Basic, Plus, or Premium.
Our 1V1 and 1V2 class formats are ideal for Pilates newcomers or those coming back after time away. Build your movement foundations in a caring, physio-led setting.
Every client is guided by a registered physiotherapist, with programs tailored to your body, history, and goals. We also use InBody body composition analysis to help track your progress along the way.
Eligible sessions may be claimed through private health insurance, depending on your cover. We'll provide a compliant invoice and guide you through the claims process if needed.
At DX Physio, our Reformer Level 1 classes are thoughtfully designed with beginners in mind. Each session focuses on foundational movement, core activation, breathing techniques and developing body awareness.
You’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, supported by our team at every step. No previous Pilates experience is required.
Opt for comfortable activewear that won’t restrict your movement, such as leggings, a fitted top and grip socks (grip socks are required for hygiene purposes on the reformer). Clothing with zippers or bulky seams is best avoided.

A physiotherapy assessment is recommended for all new clients, especially those recovering from an injury, who are pregnant, postpartum, or managing a specific condition. This helps our team gain a clear understanding of your history and goals so your program can be tailored correctly from day one.
If you have prior reformer Pilates experience and are currently injury-free, you are welcome to book directly into a class. We would still appreciate a brief conversation beforehand to help guide you toward the most appropriate level.

This information helps us to track progress beyond the scale, set realistic, personalised goals, and adjust your program based on real data. Further, we measure weight or fat loss and check that it does not come at the cost of muscle loss.
As all classes are led by a registered physiotherapist, they may be claimable under most private health funds as part of physiotherapy services. We recommend checking with your insurer for further details.

Led by qualified physiotherapists, Clinical Pilates prioritises rehabilitation, injury prevention, and postural correction. It is as much about function as it is about fitness. Regular mat Pilates may be a worthwhile workout, but it is not designed to address your specific needs and goals.
While yoga and Pilates both value mindful movement and breathing, clinical reformer Pilates is distinguished by its use of purpose-built equipment and physiotherapist guidance, with a strong focus on rehabilitation, core strength, and functional movement.
It offers a more structured, clinically informed approach that may be particularly appropriate for those managing specific health concerns or working toward defined movement goals.
Clinical reformer Pilates differs from high-intensity gym training or HIIT Pilates in its emphasis on controlled, purposeful movement rather than pushing for high-intensity output.
We offer Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Clinical Pilates classes. These are carefully designed to support core, pelvic floor, posture, and overall strength in a supervised environment.
