DX Physio Balgowlah & Cremorne Sydney
Aiming to rebuild your strength, restore your movement, and support your well-being over time.
Is discomfort or reduced mobility holding you back from doing the things you love? Clinical reformer Pilates is designed to support your confidence, strength, and movement. Working alongside an experienced physiotherapist, you’ll use a reformer to focus on the muscles most relevant to your needs.
At DX Physio, our guided clinical Pilates programs are developed in collaboration with other health professionals to support a sustainable and clinically appropriate approach to your care.

Clinical Reformer Pilates is designed to support strength, flexibility, and functional movement, and may assist in your recovery process. It may be used to help with:
If any of these concerns resonate with you, the answer typically isn’t simply ‘more exercise’: it’s the most appropriate exercise, guided by qualified clinicians.
At DX Physio, our clinical reformer Pilates programs are guided by an experienced physiotherapist and designed with your long-term well-being in mind, not just immediate results.
Through clinical Pilates, we may support you in working toward:
Ready to work towards greater strength and more confident movement?
Our small, physio-led Pilates classes may be a great place to start.
Give us a call and book a pre-class physiotherapy assessment. We will then guide you to the most suitable physio-led reformer Pilates program: Basic, Plus, or Premium.
Select from our 1V1 or 1V2 class options, both well-suited for those new to Pilates or returning after a break. Develop your foundations in a supportive, physio-led environment.
Every client is guided by a registered physiotherapist, with programs tailored to your body, history, and goals. We also use InBody body composition analysis to help track your progress along the way.
Depending on your level of cover, eligible sessions may be claimable through your private health insurance. We'll provide a compliant invoice and assist you through the claiming process if required.
DX Physio offers Reformer Level 1 classes designed with beginners in mind, focusing on foundational movement patterns, core activation, breathing and body awareness.
In a supportive and encouraging environment, you’ll be guided through each step at a pace that suits you. No experience is needed to get started.
Opt for comfortable activewear that won’t restrict your movement, such as leggings, a fitted top and grip socks (grip socks are required for hygiene purposes on the reformer). Clothing with zippers or bulky seams is best avoided.
We use MindBody for online bookings, where you’ll find all available options including 1-on-1 sessions, small group classes and our beginner-friendly Reformer Level 1.
If you’re not quite sure what to expect, we invite you to book a FREE 10-minute consultation with our physio team before joining your first class.
We recommend all new clients start with a physiotherapy assessment. This is especially important if you’re recovering from an injury, pregnant, postpartum, or managing a specific condition. This helps us understand your history and goals, and set up your program correctly from the start.
If you have prior reformer Pilates experience and are currently injury-free, you are welcome to book directly into a class. We would still appreciate a brief conversation beforehand to help guide you toward the most appropriate level.
InBody is used at DX Physio as an objective outcome measure, providing data on:
Using this information, we are able to track your progress beyond the number on the scale, establish realistic and personalised goals, and refine your program based on real data. We also monitor any weight or fat loss to ensure muscle mass is being preserved throughout the process.
Because our classes are physio-led, they may be claimable through most private health funds under physiotherapy services. Please check with your individual insurer to confirm your level of cover.
Reformer Pilates is designed to engage multiple muscle groups at once. At DX Physio, our physiotherapists utilise the reformer’s spring resistance to target specific areas while supporting overall fitness, muscle tone, and postural control.
Clinical Pilates is led by qualified physiotherapists and focuses on rehab, injury prevention, and postural correction. It’s not just about fitness, but function. Regular mat Pilates may offer a good workout, but it won’t be tailored to your needs.
While both yoga and Pilates focus on mindful movement and breathing, clinical reformer Pilates uses dedicated equipment and is guided by physiotherapists with a focus on rehabilitation, core strength, and functional movement.
Clinical reformer Pilates is a more structured and clinically informed approach, well-suited to those managing specific health concerns or working toward particular movement goals.
Clinical reformer Pilates differs from high-intensity gym training or HIIT Pilates in its emphasis on controlled, purposeful movement rather than pushing for high-intensity output.
We offer Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Clinical Pilates classes. These are carefully designed to support core, pelvic floor, posture, and overall strength in a supervised environment.
At DX Physio, our clinical reformer Pilates classes are kept intentionally small and are guided by registered physiotherapists, rather than fitness instructors alone.
You’ll receive clear guidance, personalised programs, and the kind of individual attention that larger Pilates studios simply can’t offer. Conveniently located near the Sydney CBD, our Cremorne and Balgowlah clinics are ready to welcome you.
We have a New Client Intro Offer available: $80 for 2 group classes, to be used within 2 weeks. This is a great opportunity to experience our studio, get to know our team and try Clinical Reformer Pilates before committing to a full program.
This offer is a low-pressure way to experience what we do and see if we’re the right fit for you. Book directly via MindBody to secure your spot.
