Start by giving us a call to arrange a pre-class physiotherapy assessment. Our team will then help you identify the most appropriate physio-led reformer Pilates program: Basic, Plus, or Premium.
Our 1V1 and 1V2 class formats are ideal for Pilates newcomers or those coming back after time away. Build your movement foundations in a caring, physio-led setting.
Every client is guided by a registered physiotherapist, with programs tailored to your body, history, and goals. We also use InBody body composition analysis to help track your progress along the way.
Eligible sessions may be claimed through private health insurance, depending on your cover. We'll provide a compliant invoice and guide you through the claims process if needed.
DX Physio offers Reformer Level 1 classes designed with beginners in mind, focusing on foundational movement patterns, core activation, breathing and body awareness.
In a supportive and encouraging environment, you’ll be guided through each step at a pace that suits you. No experience is needed to get started.
Comfortable, fitted activewear is ideal; leggings, a fitted top and grip socks work well. Please note that grip socks are required for hygiene on the reformer, and clothing with zippers or bulky seams is not recommended.

We encourage all new clients to begin with a physiotherapy assessment. This is particularly important if you are recovering from an injury, pregnant, postpartum, or managing a specific health condition. It allows us to understand your history and goals, and ensure your program is set up appropriately from the outset.
If you’re experienced with reformer Pilates and are not managing any current injuries, you’re welcome to book straight into a class. That said, we’d still welcome a brief chat to help point you in the right direction.

Reformer Pilates works multiple muscle groups simultaneously, making it a well-rounded form of exercise. At DX Physio, our physiotherapists use the reformer’s spring resistance to address specific areas while also supporting overall fitness, muscle tone, and postural control.
Led by qualified physiotherapists, Clinical Pilates prioritises rehabilitation, injury prevention, and postural correction. It is as much about function as it is about fitness. Regular mat Pilates may be a worthwhile workout, but it is not designed to address your specific needs and goals.
Both yoga and Pilates share an emphasis on mindful movement and breathing, however clinical reformer Pilates uses purpose-built equipment and is guided by physiotherapists, with a focus on rehabilitation, core strength, and functional movement.
Clinical reformer Pilates is a more structured and clinically informed approach, well-suited to those managing specific health concerns or working toward particular movement goals.
Where high-intensity gym training or HIIT Pilates prioritises output and intensity, clinical reformer Pilates takes a different approach, focusing on controlled, purposeful movement tailored to your individual needs.
At DX Physio, we offer both Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Clinical Pilates classes. Each program is thoughtfully designed to support core strength, pelvic floor function, posture, and overall strength in a supervised and supportive environment.
