Aiming to rebuild your strength, restore your movement, and support your well-being over time.
Clinical Reformer Pilates may help you build strength and flexibility, potentially supporting improved function and a smoother recovery journey. It may be used to assist with:
If you recognise any of these concerns, more exercise isn’t always the answer. What matters is the most appropriate exercise, delivered under the guidance of experienced clinicians.
At DX Physio, clinical reformer Pilates is led by an experienced physiotherapist. Our programs are goal-driven and designed to support long-term change, not short-term fixes.
With clinical Pilates, we may help you work toward:
Hoping to rebuild strength and move with confidence?
With small, physio-led classes, you’ll have the support and guidance you need from the very first session.
Give us a call and book a pre-class physiotherapy assessment. We will then guide you to the most suitable physio-led reformer Pilates program: Basic, Plus, or Premium.
Whether you're new to Pilates or returning after a break, our 1V1 and 1V2 class options offer a supportive, physio-led space to develop your foundations at your own pace.
You'll be guided by a registered physiotherapist at every session, with a program designed around your unique body, history and goals. We also incorporate InBody body composition analysis to help measure your progress along the way.
Eligible sessions may be claimable through private health insurance, depending on your policy. We'll issue a compliant invoice and support you through the claiming process should you need assistance.
At DX Physio, our Reformer Level 1 classes are thoughtfully designed with beginners in mind. Each session focuses on foundational movement, core activation, breathing techniques and developing body awareness.
You’ll learn at your own pace in a supportive environment. Our team will guide you through each step, no experience needed.
We recommend comfortable activewear that allows for a full range of movement, think leggings, a fitted top and grip socks (required for hygiene on the reformer). Please avoid clothing with zippers or bulky seams.
You can book directly online via MindBody, where you’ll find options for 1-on-1 sessions, small group classes, and our beginner-friendly Reformer Level 1.
Unsure of what to expect from your first session? Book a FREE 10-minute consultation with our physio team before you commit.
We encourage all new clients to begin with a physiotherapy assessment. This is particularly important if you are recovering from an injury, pregnant, postpartum, or managing a specific health condition. It allows us to understand your history and goals, and ensure your program is set up appropriately from the outset.
If you have previous reformer Pilates experience and are injury-free, you’re welcome to book directly into a class. We’d still love a quick chat first to help you choose the most suitable level for you.
We use InBody as an objective outcome measure, which tracks:
This data helps us look beyond the scale to track meaningful progress, set realistic and personalised goals, and adjust your program using real, objective information. We also monitor any weight or fat loss to ensure it is not coming at the cost of muscle mass.
Because our classes are physio-led, they may be claimable through most private health funds under physiotherapy services. Please check with your individual insurer to confirm your level of cover.
Yes, reformer Pilates engages multiple muscle groups simultaneously. At DX Physio, our physiotherapists use the reformer’s spring resistance to target specific areas while supporting overall fitness, muscle tone, and postural control.
Led by qualified physiotherapists, Clinical Pilates prioritises rehabilitation, injury prevention, and postural correction. It is as much about function as it is about fitness. Regular mat Pilates may be a worthwhile workout, but it is not designed to address your specific needs and goals.
Both yoga and Pilates share an emphasis on mindful movement and breathing, however clinical reformer Pilates uses purpose-built equipment and is guided by physiotherapists, with a focus on rehabilitation, core strength, and functional movement.
Clinical reformer Pilates is a more structured and clinically informed approach, well-suited to those managing specific health concerns or working toward particular movement goals.
In contrast to high-intensity gym training or HIIT Pilates, clinical reformer Pilates emphasises controlled, purposeful movement over high-intensity output.
Our Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Clinical Pilates classes are available for those who are pregnant or in the postpartum period. These sessions are carefully structured to support your core, pelvic floor, posture, and overall strength under the supervision of a registered physiotherapist.
At DX Physio, our clinical reformer Pilates classes are kept intentionally small and are guided by registered physiotherapists, rather than fitness instructors alone.
With smaller classes, you’ll enjoy personalised programs, clear guidance and individual attention that larger Pilates studios can’t match. Conveniently situated near the Sydney CBD, our Cremorne and Balgowlah clinics are here to welcome you.
We offer a special New Client Intro Offer: $80 for 2 group classes, to be used within 2 weeks. This gives you the chance to experience our beautiful studio, meet the team, and try our Clinical Reformer Pilates before committing to a whole class program.
It’s the perfect way to see if we’re the right fit for your needs. You can book this offer directly via MindBody.
We provide services to patients in Sydney from areas including:
