DX Physio Balgowlah & Cremorne Sydney
Support your movement, strength and long-term wellbeing.
Is pain or limited mobility holding you back? Clinical reformer Pilates is designed to help you rebuild confidence, strength and movement. Led by an experienced physiotherapist, you’ll use a reformer to target the muscles that matter most.
At DX Physio, we offer guided clinical Pilates and work closely with other health professionals to help keep your program sustainable and clinically appropriate.
Clinical Reformer Pilates is designed to help you build strength and flexibility, improving function and speeding up your recovery. It may be used to help support:
If any of these concerns sound familiar, you don’t need ‘more exercise’, you need the right exercise, guided by professional clinicians.
At DX Physio, clinical reformer Pilates is led by an experienced physiotherapist. Our programs are goal-driven and designed to support long-term change, not short-term fixes.
With clinical Pilates, we may help you work toward:
Ready to rebuild strength and move with confidence?
Our small, physio-led Pilates classes are a great place to start.
Give us a call and book a pre-class physiotherapy assessment. We will then guide you to the most suitable physio-led reformer Pilates program: Basic, Plus, or Premium.
Choose between 1V1 or 1V2 classes, both perfect for Pilates newcomers or those returning after a break. Build foundations in a supportive, physio-led class.
Every client is guided by a registered physiotherapist, with programs tailored to your body, history, and goals. We also use InBody body composition analysis to help track your progress along the way.
Eligible sessions may be claimed through private health insurance, depending on your cover. We’ll provide a compliant invoice and guide you through the claiming process if needed.
At DX Physio, we offer Reformer Level 1 classes specifically designed for beginners. These sessions focus on foundational movement, core activation, breathing, and building body awareness.
You’ll learn at your own pace in a supportive environment. Our team will guide you through each step, no experience needed.
Comfortable activewear that allows you to move freely is best, like leggings, a fitted top, and grip socks (required for hygiene on the reformer). Avoid clothing with zippers or bulky seams.
You can book directly online via MindBody, where you’ll find options for 1-on-1 sessions, small group classes, and our beginner-friendly Reformer Level 1.
Not sure what to expect with your first class? Book a FREE 10-minute consultation to chat with our physio team before joining.
We recommend all new clients start with a physiotherapy assessment. This is especially important if you’re recovering from an injury, pregnant, postpartum, or managing a specific condition. This helps us understand your history and goals, and set up your program correctly from the start.
If you have previous reformer Pilates experience and are injury-free, you’re welcome to book directly into a class. We’d still love a quick chat first to help you choose the most suitable level for you.
We use InBody as an objective outcome measure, which tracks:
This information helps us to track progress beyond the scale, set realistic, personalised goals, and adjust your program based on real data. Further, we measure weight or fat loss and check that it does not come at the cost of muscle loss.
Since all classes are physio-led, they are claimable under most private health funds as part of physiotherapy services. Check with your insurer for details.
Yes, reformer Pilates engages multiple muscle groups simultaneously. At DX Physio, our physiotherapists use the reformer’s spring resistance to target specific areas while supporting overall fitness, muscle tone, and postural control.
Clinical Pilates is led by qualified physiotherapists and focuses on rehab, injury prevention, and postural correction. It’s not just about fitness, but function. Regular mat Pilates may offer a good workout, but it won’t be tailored to your needs.
While both yoga and Pilates focus on mindful movement and breathing, clinical reformer Pilates uses specialised equipment and is guided by physiotherapists with a focus on rehabilitation, core strength, and functional movement.
It’s a more structured, clinically informed practice suited to those managing specific health concerns or movement goals.
Unlike high-intensity gym training or HIIT pilates, clinical reformer Pilates focuses on controlled, purposeful movement rather than high-intensity output.
We offer Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Clinical Pilates classes. These are carefully designed to support core, pelvic floor, posture, and overall strength in a supervised environment.
At DX Physio, our clinical reformer Pilates classes are intentionally small and led by registered physiotherapists, not just fitness instructors.
You’ll receive clear guidance, personalised programs, and the kind of individual attention that larger Pilates studios simply can’t offer. Conveniently located near the Sydney CBD, our Cremorne and Balgowlah clinics are ready to welcome you.
We offer a special New Client Intro Offer: $80 for 2 group classes, to be used within 2 weeks. This gives you the chance to experience our beautiful studio, meet the team, and try our Clinical Reformer Pilates before committing to a whole class program.
It’s the perfect way to see if we’re the right fit for your needs. You can book this offer directly via MindBody.
