Support your movement, strength, and long-term well-being.
Clinical Reformer Pilates is designed to help you build strength and flexibility, improve function, and speed up your recovery. It may be used to help support:
If any of these concerns resonate with you, the answer typically isn’t simply ‘more exercise’: it’s the most appropriate exercise, guided by qualified clinicians.
At DX Physio, clinical reformer Pilates is led by an experienced physiotherapist. Our programs are goal-driven and designed to support long-term change, not short-term fixes.
Clinical Pilates at DX Physio may help you work toward:
Ready to work towards greater strength and more confident movement?
Our small, physiotherapist-led Pilates classes may be just the right place to begin.
Get in touch and book your pre-class physiotherapy assessment. From there, we'll help guide you toward the most suitable physio-led reformer Pilates program for your needs: Basic, Plus, or Premium.
Our 1V1 and 1V2 class formats are ideal for Pilates newcomers or those coming back after time away. Build your movement foundations in a caring, physio-led setting.
Every client is guided by a registered physiotherapist, with programs tailored to your body, history, and goals. We also use InBody body composition analysis to help track your progress along the way.
Depending on your level of cover, eligible sessions may be claimable through your private health insurance. We'll provide a compliant invoice and assist you through the claiming process if required.
At DX Physio, we offer Reformer Level 1 classes specifically designed for beginners. These sessions focus on foundational movement, core activation, breathing, and building body awareness.
In a supportive and encouraging environment, you’ll be guided through each step at a pace that suits you. No experience is needed to get started.
Comfortable, fitted activewear is ideal; leggings, a fitted top and grip socks work well. Please note that grip socks are required for hygiene on the reformer, and clothing with zippers or bulky seams is not recommended.
You can book directly online via MindBody, where you’ll find options for 1-on-1 sessions, small group classes, and our beginner-friendly Reformer Level 1.

We encourage all new clients to begin with a physiotherapy assessment. This is particularly important if you are recovering from an injury, pregnant, postpartum, or managing a specific health condition. It allows us to understand your history and goals, and ensure your program is set up appropriately from the outset.
If you have previous reformer Pilates experience and are injury-free, you’re welcome to book directly into a class. We’d still love a quick chat first to help you choose the most suitable level for you.
InBody is used at DX Physio as an objective outcome measure, providing data on:
This data allows us to monitor progress beyond what the scales show, set realistic and personalised goals, and make informed adjustments to your program. We also assess any weight or fat loss to ensure it is not occurring at the expense of muscle mass.
All of our classes are led by a registered physiotherapist, which means they may be claimable under most private health funds as part of physiotherapy services. We suggest checking with your insurer to confirm the details of your cover.
Yes, reformer Pilates is designed to engage several muscle groups at the same time. At DX Physio, our physiotherapists harness the reformer’s spring resistance to target areas of focus while supporting your overall fitness, muscle tone, and postural control.
Clinical Pilates is delivered by qualified physiotherapists with a focus on rehabilitation, injury prevention, and postural correction; it’s about function, not just fitness. While regular mat Pilates may offer general fitness benefits, it is not tailored to your individual body, history or goals.
While both yoga and Pilates focus on mindful movement and breathing, clinical reformer Pilates uses dedicated equipment and is guided by physiotherapists with a focus on rehabilitation, core strength, and functional movement.
It’s a more structured, clinically informed practice suited to those managing specific health concerns or movement goals.
Clinical reformer Pilates differs from high-intensity gym training or HIIT Pilates in its emphasis on controlled, purposeful movement rather than pushing for high-intensity output.
We offer Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Clinical Pilates classes. These are carefully designed to support core, pelvic floor, posture, and overall strength in a supervised environment.
At DX Physio, we keep our clinical reformer Pilates classes small by design, with every session led by a registered physiotherapist rather than a general fitness instructor.
You’ll receive clear guidance, personalised programs, and the kind of individual attention that larger Pilates studios simply can’t offer. Conveniently located near the Sydney CBD, our Cremorne and Balgowlah clinics are ready to welcome you.
