Support your movement, strength, and long-term well-being.
Clinical Reformer Pilates may help you build strength and flexibility, potentially supporting improved function and a smoother recovery journey. It may be used to assist with:
If these concerns sound familiar, it may be time to consider a different approach. Rather than doing more, focus on doing the most supportive exercise, guided by professional clinicians who understand your needs.
At DX Physio, every clinical reformer Pilates session is led by an experienced physiotherapist. Our programs are built around your goals and focused on supporting meaningful, long-term change.
With clinical Pilates, we may help you work toward:
Ready to work towards greater strength and more confident movement?
Our small, physiotherapist-led Pilates classes may be just the right place to begin.
Call us to book your pre-class physiotherapy assessment, and we'll work with you to determine the most suitable physio-led reformer Pilates program from our three options: Basic, Plus, or Premium.
Select from our 1V1 or 1V2 class options, both well-suited for those new to Pilates or returning after a break. Develop your foundations in a supportive, physio-led environment.
Every client is guided by a registered physiotherapist, with programs tailored to your body, history, and goals. We also use InBody body composition analysis to help track your progress along the way.
Eligible sessions may be claimable through private health insurance, depending on your policy. We'll issue a compliant invoice and support you through the claiming process should you need assistance.
DX Physio offers Reformer Level 1 classes designed with beginners in mind, focusing on foundational movement patterns, core activation, breathing and body awareness.
You’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, supported by our team at every step. No previous Pilates experience is required.
Comfortable activewear that allows you to move freely is best, like leggings, a fitted top, and grip socks (required for hygiene on the reformer). Avoid clothing with zippers or bulky seams.
You can easily book online through MindBody, with options available for 1-on-1 sessions, small group classes and our beginner-friendly Reformer Level 1.

A physiotherapy assessment is recommended for all new clients, especially those recovering from an injury, who are pregnant, postpartum, or managing a specific condition. This helps our team gain a clear understanding of your history and goals so your program can be tailored correctly from day one.
If you have prior reformer Pilates experience and are currently injury-free, you are welcome to book directly into a class. We would still appreciate a brief conversation beforehand to help guide you toward the most appropriate level.
We incorporate InBody as an objective outcome measure into our programs, tracking:
This data helps us look beyond the scale to track meaningful progress, set realistic and personalised goals, and adjust your program using real, objective information. We also monitor any weight or fat loss to ensure it is not coming at the cost of muscle mass.
All of our classes are led by a registered physiotherapist, which means they may be claimable under most private health funds as part of physiotherapy services. We suggest checking with your insurer to confirm the details of your cover.
Yes, reformer Pilates is designed to engage several muscle groups at the same time. At DX Physio, our physiotherapists harness the reformer’s spring resistance to target areas of focus while supporting your overall fitness, muscle tone, and postural control.
Led by qualified physiotherapists, Clinical Pilates prioritises rehabilitation, injury prevention, and postural correction. It is as much about function as it is about fitness. Regular mat Pilates may be a worthwhile workout, but it is not designed to address your specific needs and goals.
Yoga and clinical reformer Pilates both incorporate mindful movement and breathwork, but clinical reformer Pilates is delivered using purpose-built equipment and guided by physiotherapists, with rehabilitation, core strength, and functional movement at its core.
Clinical reformer Pilates is a more structured and clinically informed approach, well-suited to those managing specific health concerns or working toward particular movement goals.
Unlike high-intensity gym training or HIIT Pilates, clinical reformer Pilates focuses on controlled, purposeful movement rather than high-intensity output.
DX Physio offers dedicated Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Clinical Pilates classes, each designed with care to support core function, pelvic floor health, posture, and overall strength in a professionally supervised environment.
At DX Physio, our clinical reformer Pilates classes are intentionally small and led by registered physiotherapists, not just fitness instructors.
