Aiming to rebuild your strength, restore your movement, and support your well-being over time.
Clinical Reformer Pilates may help you build strength and flexibility, potentially supporting improved function and a smoother recovery journey. It may be used to assist with:
If any of these concerns resonate with you, the answer typically isn’t simply ‘more exercise’: it’s the most appropriate exercise, guided by qualified clinicians.
At DX Physio, every clinical reformer Pilates session is led by an experienced physiotherapist. Our programs are built around your goals and focused on supporting meaningful, long-term change.
Through clinical Pilates, we may support you in working toward:
Hoping to rebuild strength and move with confidence?
Our small, physiotherapist-led Pilates classes may be just the right place to begin.
Call us to book your pre-class physiotherapy assessment, and we'll work with you to determine the most suitable physio-led reformer Pilates program from our three options: Basic, Plus, or Premium.
Choose between 1V1 or 1V2 classes, both perfect for Pilates newcomers or those returning after a break. Build foundations in a supportive, physio-led class.
All programs at DX Physio are guided by a registered physiotherapist and tailored to your individual body, history and goals. InBody body composition analysis is also used to help track your progress over time.
Eligible sessions may be claimed through private health insurance, depending on your cover. We'll provide a compliant invoice and guide you through the claims process if needed.
At DX Physio, we offer Reformer Level 1 classes specifically designed for beginners. These sessions focus on foundational movement, core activation, breathing, and building body awareness.
You’re welcome to progress at your own pace in a warm and supportive setting. Our team will be with you every step of the way, no prior experience necessary.
Comfortable, fitted activewear is ideal; leggings, a fitted top and grip socks work well. Please note that grip socks are required for hygiene on the reformer, and clothing with zippers or bulky seams is not recommended.
Booking is simple, head online to MindBody where you’ll find a range of options including 1-on-1 sessions, small group classes and our beginner-friendly Reformer Level 1.

We suggest all new clients start with a physiotherapy assessment, particularly if you are recovering from an injury, currently pregnant, postpartum, or managing an ongoing condition. This gives us the information we need to understand your history and goals and set up your program in the most appropriate way.
If you have prior reformer Pilates experience and are currently injury-free, you are welcome to book directly into a class. We would still appreciate a brief conversation beforehand to help guide you toward the most appropriate level.
We incorporate InBody as an objective outcome measure into our programs, tracking:
This data allows us to monitor progress beyond what the scales show, set realistic and personalised goals, and make informed adjustments to your program. We also assess any weight or fat loss to ensure it is not occurring at the expense of muscle mass.
All of our classes are led by a registered physiotherapist, which means they may be claimable under most private health funds as part of physiotherapy services. We suggest checking with your insurer to confirm the details of your cover.
Yes, reformer Pilates engages multiple muscle groups simultaneously. At DX Physio, our physiotherapists use the reformer’s spring resistance to target specific areas while supporting overall fitness, muscle tone, and postural control.
Clinical Pilates is delivered by qualified physiotherapists with a focus on rehabilitation, injury prevention, and postural correction; it’s about function, not just fitness. While regular mat Pilates may offer general fitness benefits, it is not tailored to your individual body, history or goals.
While both yoga and Pilates focus on mindful movement and breathing, clinical reformer Pilates uses dedicated equipment and is guided by physiotherapists with a focus on rehabilitation, core strength, and functional movement.
It offers a more structured, clinically informed approach that may be particularly appropriate for those managing specific health concerns or working toward defined movement goals.
Clinical reformer Pilates differs from high-intensity gym training or HIIT Pilates in its emphasis on controlled, purposeful movement rather than pushing for high-intensity output.
At DX Physio, we offer both Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Clinical Pilates classes. Each program is thoughtfully designed to support core strength, pelvic floor function, posture, and overall strength in a supervised and supportive environment.
At DX Physio, our clinical reformer Pilates classes are intentionally small and led by registered physiotherapists, not just fitness instructors.
With smaller classes, you’ll enjoy personalised programs, clear guidance and individual attention that larger Pilates studios can’t match. Conveniently situated near the Sydney CBD, our Cremorne and Balgowlah clinics are here to welcome you.
We offer a New Client Intro Offer of $80 for 2 group classes, available to be used within 2 weeks. This gives you the opportunity to visit our studio, meet our team and experience Clinical Reformer Pilates before making a commitment to a full class program.
