Endometriosis & Women’s Health Physiotherapy

Understanding Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the womb — often on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, bladder, bowel, or pelvic walls.
This tissue responds to hormonal changes just like the uterine lining does, which can lead to inflammation, pain, and the formation of scar tissue(adhesions).
Endometriosis can affect women of any age and may cause ongoing pelvic pain, fatigue, and challenges with fertility — but with the right care, symptoms can be managed, and quality of life can be greatly improved.
